Note: To Redline DPR files, ProjectWise Publishing Server must be installed on ProjectWise InterPlot Server's Web Server. ProjectWise Publishing Server's redlining feature allows you to view a drawing and mark it up with comments or changes. Once the changes and comments are made, you can save (post) them on a ProjectWise InterPlot Server to make them accessible to other users. A senior drafter or engineer usually marks up the drawing and posts the redline file so that a draftsman can view the redlines and make the necessary changes. ProjectWise Publishing Server saves the redlines to a separate file when you select the "Post Redline" option. After the redlines are saved, other users can view them from ProjectWise InterPlot Server's Job Page. When saving redlines, you can specify your name along with any comments. You can add additional redlines to the same redline file even after it has been saved, as long as you don't refresh the Job page. Once the Job page is refreshed, the redlines are cleared from the drawing and the "Redline File & Author" list box is displayed. You can view redline files by selecting them from the "Redline File & Author" list box, or you can select "Clear redline overlay" to turn off the redlines. When viewing a redlines, the user has the following options:
To Save (Post) Redline data: 1. Right-click inside the drawing to invoke the Bentley Web Viewing, Plotting, and Redlining (VPR) control. 2. Select any of the Redline drawing commands or text commands to add your redlines. 3. Select the "Post Redline" option at the top of the Job Page. 4. Type in your name and any comments you want saved in the redline file. If you are viewing a redline file, select one of the three options before you click Accept. 5. Click Accept from the "Post Redline--Web Page Dialog." To View Redline data: 1. From the "Redline File & Author" list box, select the redline file you want to view. Back to Top |
